‘Big Day’ for The Rules of Golf

March 1st, 2017

Just a few minutes ago, The R&A and The USGA concluded their ‘Teleconference’ announcing the beginning of a period for feedback and evaluation of their radical proposals for changing The Rules of Golf. For more information about these proposals – five years in the making – click HERE.

Golfers are encouraged to review the proposed changes and submit feedback online via worldwide survey technology that can be accessed at or from now until 31 August 2017. The new Rules will come into effect on 1st January 2019.

This is the first fundamental review since 1984. It was established to ensure the Rules fit the needs of today’s game and the way it is played around the world. I encourage all readers to take part in the review process.
