A Very Special Award

It’s that time of year again – the Awards Season. We do our best to report the highlights but this week’s All Party Parliamentary Golf Group’s Service Award deserves a special mention. It was given to blind golfer Jim Gales MBE in recognition of his work as founder and Chair of the Scottish Disability Golf Partnership.

The charity provides opportunities for individuals across Scotland to take part in golf training and golf competitions and has made a significant contribution to the sport since it was established in 2004. Mr Gales was also made an Honorary Life Member of APPGG in recognition of his services to the sport. It was a privilege to be present on such an occasion pictured below.
