Royal Norwich has introduced a new international sports turf qualification for students who want to specialise in golf. 

A dramatic change of careers paid off for Scotland’s Rural College student Ben Matthews, after his tutors unanimously named him the winner of this year’s HNC Golf Course Management Student of the Year Award, sponsored by John Deere and Scottish turf dealer Double A. 

Diana Carel, a Golf Course Management graduate from Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC), has become the first female greenkeeper to work full-time on the Old Course in St Andrews.
