Golf Industry News - Liv Golf Invitational Series

Open champion Cameron Smith has become LIV Golf’s highest-ranked recruit, after the 29-year Australian, winner of the Claret Jug at St Andrews last month, was officially confirmed as having joined the Saudi-backed series following weeks of speculation.

The LIV Golf Invitational Series has signed a global rights deal for its first event with digital sports media company DAZN, expanding the Saudi Arabia-backed circuit’s broadcast distribution beyond owned and operated platforms.

Following a draft event held on Tuesday evening, the team names, captains and the players have now been finalised for the LIV Golf Invitational Series London, which tees off at Centurion Club on Thursday.
