Clive Osgood, Course Manager at Walton Heath Golf Club is to be the Chairman of BIGGA for the year 2001. He has selected Richard Barker from Kirby Muxloe Golf Club as his Vice-Chairman

The Standing Committee on Greenkeepers’ Salaries and Conditions of Employment has been reformed with a new membership. The Committee sets the recommended minimum starting salaries and conditions of service for all greenkeepers in the UK

At last month’s Conference of The Association of Golf Club Secretaries (held at the University of St Andrews) there was a major surprise in the final session when delegates were given the opportunity to raise their own ‘hot topics’ with representatives of golf’s ruling bodies.
