Acushnet Co., the golf-products division of Fortune Brands Inc., said that in the last three months operating income declined by 2.5% to $43.3 million from $44.4 million a year earlier.

Following the announcement that Fortune Brands is to sell off all of its golf division, well over twenty potential bidders have looked at buying the business.

The transaction includes the Cobra brand, as well as related inventory, intellectual property and endorsement contracts.
