One of the main talking points at this week’s GolfBIC was the recent publication of ‘The Economic Impact of Golf on the Economy of Europe’ – a report commissioned by the PGA and produced by SPORTS MARKETING SURVEYS INC. This report can be freely downloaded here

The value of European Golf, estimated as €15.1 billion, far outstrips the cost of staging the 2012 Olympics – €11.5 billion – and is nearly as much as the cost of the UK’s ‘Protection Budget’ – €16.9 billion.
