The European Seniors Tour will make its first visit to Poland next year with Parkridge announced as title sponsor of the Parkridge Polish Seniors Championship to be played the Krakow Valley Golf and Country Club from 30th May – 1st June.

Ian Woosnam, who turns 50 next year, will feature in a strong field of eligible senior professionals, including Carl Mason and Sam Torrance, two players who have dominated the Order of Merit for the last five years, competing for the €280,000 prize fund.

The agreement between Parkridge, the international property company and the second biggest inward investor in Poland, and the European Seniors Tour has been brokered by promoters, WSM Sponsorship.

John Cutts, executive chairman of Parkridge, said, “We at Parkridge are very proud of the fact we are Poland’s second largest inward investor. This tournament has been conceived by Parkridge to build our brand and that of our key partners in Poland and to provide opportunities for this sport loving country to watch great golfers and to experience this old world sport in this thriving new world economy.”

Andrew White, chief executive of WSM Sponsorship, said. “WSM are delighted to announce another new tournament on The European Seniors Tour. We are great supporters of seniors golf and the introduction of this event demonstrates both our commitment to the European Seniors Tour and further reinforces our position as the leading independent promoter for the European Seniors Tour.”

Andy Stubbs, managing director of the European Seniors Tour, commented, “This is an exciting opportunity for the European Seniors Tour to help develop golf in Poland and promote the country as an international golfing destination. Parkridge is an ideal partner for the Seniors Tour and we look forward to working with them next year.”
