VisitScotland has confirmed that it is to sponsor the 2010 instalment of the Scottish Golf Show.

The annual three-day golfing showcase, which takes place next year at the SECC in Glasgow from 26-28 March, has become one of the most popular and successful events on the calendar.

As the Scottish Golf Show prepares to celebrate its fifth staging, VisitScotland is delighted to be extending its association with the event.

Mark McCardie, VisitScotland’s golf product manager, commented: “Since its launch, the Scottish Golf Show has established itself as the most successful and best-attended consumer retail show in the UK and, indeed, one of the biggest in Europe, showcasing the very best of what is a truly Scottish product.

“Promoting golf tourism within Scotland is very important for VisitScotland as the domestic market remains a key focus and the Scottish Golf Show provides us with a unique platform to do that.

“As such, we are delighted to extend our sponsorship of the Scottish Golf Show into a fifth year and look forward to what promises to be a fantastic three days at the SECC next year.”

Tom Lovering, organiser of the Scottish Golf Show, added: “VisitScotland has been an integral part of the Scottish Golf Show since its launch in 2006. Its steadfast and unwavering support has been greatly appreciated, and has contributed to the event becoming the biggest golf show in the UK and one of the biggest in Europe. For that reason, I am thrilled that VisitScotland will continue to be part of the show into 2010.”
