GCSAA Championships logoThe Toro Company and the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) have announced a three-year extension of Toro’s sponsorship of the GCSAA Golf Championships. The extension will carry the partnership, which celebrates its 20th consecutive year in 2014, through the 2017 event.

“The Toro Company has been a longtime partner of the GCSAA Golf Championships and has helped us transform this event from a member tournament to a premier, multi-event networking opportunity that is a huge part of our annual Golf Industry Show,” said Rhett Evans, GCSAA CEO. “We could not be more excited to continue this mutually beneficial partnership.”

Toro first began serving as the event’s presenting partner in 1995. The GCSAA Golf Championships offer participants a wide variety of options over three days of competition, including the two-day GCSAA National Championship and flighted-play in the GCSAA Golf Classic, a one-day shamble tournament and the popular four-ball competition. This year, the event took place in Orlando at Disney’s Magnolia, Palm and Lake Buena Vista golf courses, Marriott’s Grande Pines Golf Club and Marriott’s Hawk’s Landing Golf Club.

“This has been a rewarding partnership for The Toro Co. and one that we are pleased to be continuing for another three years,” said Darren Redetzke, vice president, commercial business for Toro. “It is a unique opportunity to bring together such an elite group of experts from one of our key audiences and facilitate their sharing of best practices through a fun and competitive environment.”

The Toro Company, a GCSAA Platinum Partner, is a global leader in providing maintenance equipment and irrigation systems to golf courses. Visit www.toro.com for more information.
