TT-mark-final-v2-outlines-12_10_10Once again, Titleist has led the way as the #1 Ball in Golf across all levels of the game throughout 2013, by topping counts right through from all four Major Championships; the PGA and European Tours, through to leading Amateur Tournaments. More players chose to put their trust in the feel and consistency of a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success in 2013, and the legendary franchise also recorded its 2,013th victory this year, when Henrik Stenson claimed the FedExCup title to reach the historic milestone. There were a host of further victories from Titleist golf ball loyalists during the 2013 season, helping Titleist to top the golf ball win count across worldwide professional tours, and underlining the precision that goes into every Titleist golf ball.

Across worldwide professional tours during the 2013 season, 20,995 professionals placed their trust in the performance excellence of a Titleist golf ball, compared to 3,071 for the nearest competitor. This accounted for 67% of players on the European Tour choosing to tee it up with a Pro V1 or Pro V1x. The legendary Pro V1 franchise also completed the ‘Brand Slam’ of golf ball counts in the fields at each of the 2013 Major Championships, where Titleist also recorded being the #1 choice of more players at the U.S. Open for the 65th consecutive year, and at the Open Championship since records began. The world’s leading Amateurs also put their trust in Titleist golf balls throughout 2013, as they were the overwhelming choice at the British Amateur Championship, U.S. Amateur Championship, and British Boys Amateur Championship.

Titleist golf balls also dominated the win counts for the 2013 season, with 151 wins recorded across worldwide professional tours, compared to 39 for the nearest competitor. There have been many notable victories amongst these, including maiden major championships for Titleist Brand Ambassadors Adam Scott (Pro V1) at The Masters and Jason Dufner (Pro V1) at the USPGA Championship. Pro V1x loyalist Henrik Stenson also made history in 2013 by becoming the first player to win both the FedExCup and the Race to Dubai titles in the same season, and in doing so reached a momentous milestone for the Pro V1 franchise, by recording the 2,013th worldwide professional win.

As well as leading the golf ball counts throughout 2013 season, Titleist underlined the superior performance of its equipment range by being #1 for wins across the driver, irons and wedges categories on the European Tour. Titleist 913 drivers continue to provide superb distance and control for Titleist Brand Ambassadors, whilst the introduction of the new 714 series irons were used to winning effect almost instantly by a number of players, including Pro V1x loyalists Jordan Speith and Gregory Bourdy. Vokey wedges, designed by Master Craftsman, Bob Vokey, continue to lead the way for players looking for excellent short game feel and control.

Titleist continues its longest running success story as the #1 Ball in Golf and proves that players from across all levels of the game trust in the superior performance, quality and consistency of Titleist golf balls for their success. The unrivalled R&D, manufacturing, testing and validation processes separate Titleist golf balls from the competition and provide the best golf balls for everyone’s game.
