7.40am 4th June 2012 - Sponsorship & Events

The golf industry came together over the last month at the annual TGI Golf Partnership Golf Days to help raise £2,108 for children’s charity the Make a Wish Foundation.

Kind-hearted TGI Golf Partners, suppliers and guests raised the money during four excellent golf days held at Clitheroe Golf Club, Lancashire, Malone Golf Club, Ireland, Scotscraig Golf Club, Fife and Sonning Golf Club, Berkshire.

These popular events bring together everyone involved with the TGI Golf Partnership and give them the opportunity to continue to build strong, established relationships in a relaxed environment with the added bonus of fantastic prizes on offer

Partners, guests and suppliers battled against driving rain, wind and cold temperatures at the first three events, staged at Clitheroe, Malone and Scotscraig – while those lucky enough to play at Sonning, basked in sweltering temperatures.

Eddie Reid, Managing Director, said: “Once again our golf days proved highly successful and excellently supported by our Partners and Partner Suppliers. Despite the damp weather at many of the events they were still great occasions with some excellent golf played and, most importantly, a fantastic atmosphere.

“We are an extremely tight group and the camaraderie and togetherness shown at these kind of events is a credit to our Partners and Partner Suppliers.”

Fishwick Hall Golf Club Professional Martin Watson and his team of guest Dave Robinson, fellow TGI Golf Partner Cameron Clark (Moor Hall Golf Club) and his guest John Sheldrake took top honours at the opening golf day held at Clitheroe Golf Club.

Portadown Pro Paul Stevenson and his guest David Henderson along with Nike Golf’s Alan Hutcheon and Glenmuir’s Sarah Eckford were victorious on the outskirts ofBelfastat Malone, while Panmure Pro Andrew Crerar’s team of guest Jim Adamson, Lewis Mackie of FootJoy and his guest Drew Herd won inScotland.

Finally Adam Aram, Head PGA Professional at Croham Hurst Golf Club, Croydon picked up the prizes in Berkshire with a team including his guest Chris Allbut, Nigel Walker of Nike Golf and Glenmuir agent Stuart Letts.

“Congratulations to all those who won some of the first-class prizes, which were all kindly donated by our Partner Suppliers.

“We are always grateful for the prizes that are donated to the events and, of course, to all those who happily dug deep to raise so much money for our chosen charity the Make a Wish Foundation, which works extremely hard granting magical wishes to children fighting life-threatening conditions,” added Eddie Reid.
