Sponsors for 2007 Solheim Cup

The Robe di Kappa Ladies European Tour (LET) and the Swedish Golf Federation (SGF) has announced that The Solheim Cup will return to Sweden. There is a huge amount of sponsor interest thanks to the event’s success at Barsebà¤ck G&CC in 2003 and SEB (Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB) is joined by Volvo and JMS as official partners for the 2007 matches.
The event will be hosted by the Halmstad Community and forms part of their 700 year anniversary celebrations. Bengt Ekberg, Chairman of the Executive Municipality Board said, “With The Solheim Cup, Baltic Sail and the 700 year anniversary, the year 2007 will be a great opportunity to market Halmstad as a tourist destination, university town and the place to start a new business.”
The tournament dates for The Solheim Cup in Halmstad will be 14-16th September 2007 at Halmstad GK’s north course, recently voted the No.1 Golf Course in Sweden.
Media partners are Dagens Industri, Hallandsposten, and Svensk Golf. NeH will be the official merchandiser and Strà¥lfors together with Evitbe will deliver tickets and accreditation. In addition to the official partners, this year, Mexx will provide the on course clothing for the 2005 European Solheim Cup team. Off course, the European players, caddies and officials will be wearing Oscar Jacobson and Pràªt à  Porter.
