PowaKaddy, Official Supplier to the English Golf Union (EGU), has continued its support of the country’s leading amateur golfers by providing the England Squad with its innovative new trolley, the PK SPORT. With a new ergonomic handle design and speed controller, the trolley has received high-acclaim as the most user friendly trolley PowaKaddy has ever produced.

The squad was recently presented with their striking all-white England trolleys, emblazoned with the EGU English Rose logo and personalised for each individual player.

The new PK SPORT trolleys saw their first outing at the Lytham Trophy when England player Jack Senior, as the Lancastrian weathered challenging conditions to claim the title from his teammate and eventual runner-up Tom Lewis, who also received a brand-new PK SPORT. Meanwhile, fellow EGU player Andrew Sullivan finished in a tie for 8th.

The SPORT’s innovative but simple to use ergonomic soft grip handle features a built-in responsive ambidextrous 9-speed control roller, which when combined with its fully integrated LCD display screen and separate Digital Distance Function (DDF) button, allows the trolley to be controlled at a consistent pace or sent a pre-designated distance forward with no assistance from the user. These functions and its sporty white features, provide the PK SPORT with the versatility that not only appeals to a loyal following amongst category one golfers but transcends to players of all ability.

“We are delighted to see the immediate benefits to the performance of the England Squad, highlighted by Jack’s success.” commented Simon Homer, PowaKaddy Sales and Marketing Director. “We are proud to be a part of their long-term development, which ultimately starts with the positive effects trolley use has on their performance in elite amateur events. With the wind and rain providing a tough challenge to the players both mentally and physically, we couldn’t be more pleased that the PK SPORT was a valuable asset to them in tackling those elements.”

Peter Mattsson, the EGU’s Director of Coaching welcomes PowaKaddy’s contribution to the EGU. “The benefits of a PowaKaddy compared to carrying or pulling a trolley in terms of energy conservation and injury prevention are very clear, so I am extremely pleased that our players can continue to take advantage of our relationship with PowaKaddy, who are clear leaders in the electric trolley market.”

The SPORT retails at £429 (18-hole lead acid battery), £649 (Lithium battery), and £729 (Lithium EBS).
