The chance to tee up alongside leading Tartan Tour players, sample Scotland’s finest courses and support the next generation of PGA pros are among the incentives for joining The PGA in Scotland’s Patrons Club.

And with the 2015 Patrons Schedule already confirmed, PGA in Scotland secretary Brian Mair is hoping more golfers join up.

“Patrons are not only buying into a game they love and with it an array of playing and hospitality opportunities but just as importantly, they are also supporting the next generation of Scottish PGA Professionals,” said Mair.

“Money raised by the Patrons will be invested into developing the coaches and club professionals of the future, helping those aspiring to a career in golf and ensuring Scotland remains very much the Home of Golf with expert PGA Professionals across all its facilities.”

The annual fee for amateurs is only £50 and each new member receives a Patrons’ club tie (for men) and Scarf (for ladies) as well as their exclusive Patrons’ Club Membership Card.

Among the Tartan Tour players who regularly feature are Scottish PGA Champions Greig Hutcheon, Graham Fox and Gareth Wright.

The 2015 schedule of events kicks off on 16th April at Drumoig Golf Club and also visits West Lothian (11th May), Balmore (18th June), Aberdour (8th July), Buchanan Castle (13th August), Dundonald Links (16th September) and Lundin Links 22nd October).

Mair added: “These are fun, sociable and friendly-competitive days and we welcome anyone to join our Patrons Club. It is a special golfing community and a great way to enjoy golf, meet new friends and also play with some fantastic golfers.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank PGA Professional Allan Martin for his hard work coordinating the schedule for 2015 and also a big thanks to the PGA Professionals and host venue clubs for their commitment. We really couldn’t do it without you.”
