Oscar Jacobson salutes Bland’s stylish win

Golf apparel brand Oscar Jacobson was among first to congratulate European Tour stalwart Richard Bland following his breakthrough win on the European Tour at the BetFred British Masters at The Belfry on May 15.

Bland, who is an Oscar Jaobson brand ambassador, finally bagged his first top tier tour title after beating Italian Guido Migliozzi at the first hole of a sudden-death play-off.  At 48,, the Englishman became the oldest first-time winner in European Tour history, which came after 478 times of trying.

Bland was wearing Oscar Jacobson’s CHAPS TOUR Polo in fiesta, DAVENPORT Trousers is light grey and a WALDORF Sweater in carbon black for his final round on Saturday.

An emotional Bland commented: “It’s what I’ve worked for for 20 years. That’s what we all work for, to win out here and try and prove yourself. I’ve had a few close calls and I assume someone up there was looking down on me quite favourably today. It was just my day.”

The Betfred British Masters victory should secure Bland a place at the 121st US Open Championships at Torrey Pines in San Diego in June.
