Nespresso and José María Olazábal Offer ‘The Ultimate Ryder Cup Experience’

Nestlé Nespresso S.A., the worldwide pioneer and reference in highest-quality premium portioned coffee, will be the Official Coffee Supplier to The 2014 Ryder Cup to be held at Gleneagles in Scotland. The announcement was made during the Nespresso Trophy Final held in San Sebastían on 19th October 2013, the home town of Nespresso’s Golf Ambassador José María Olazábal.

The matches between the U.S.A. and Europe creates worldwide interest way beyond the two competitive continents, no other competition comes close to the emotion, intensity and atmosphere,” said Stephane Detaille, International Sponsoring and Events Manager. “The passion, excellence and winning team spirit that define The Ryder Cup are values which are shared by Nespresso and therefore, provide the perfect platform for our partnership.”

The announcement was made in San Sebastián, the hometown of José María Olazábal, where he has opened his doors for the second time to Nespresso Club Members, who are invited to enjoy the final event for the second time.

The Nespresso Trophy is based on a series of unique golf tournaments around the globe. In 2013 more than 1,500 participants competed in 19 selection events to secure their ticket to the final event which is growing every year with more countries and Club Members joining.

Together with José María Olazábal, Nespresso will bring unique golfing and coffee experiences to The 2014 Ryder Cup through a series of events hosted by Olazábal and Nespresso, both prior to The Ryder Cup and during the week itself.

For three days, from 26th to 28th September 2014, Nespresso will be once again the Official Coffee Supplier for The 2014 Ryder Cup. The pioneer in premium portioned coffee will provide an estimated 500,000 Grand Cru coffees, offering moments of genuine relaxation and pleasure in private and public catering areas as well as in the Team rooms and Media Centre. Nespresso will bring the Ultimate Coffee Experience to players and guests at Nespresso bars placed around The 2014 Ryder Cup venue at Gleneagles in Scotland.
