Callaway staff player Min Woo Lee used a full bag of Callaway and Odyssey equipment to win the 2021 abrdn Scottish Open held at The Renaissance Club in East Lothian.

The Rolex Series victory earned the 22-year-old a place in his first Major at Royal St George’s this week, just two years after turning professional.

On the final day’s play, the Australian powered his way to -18 and to the top of the leaderboard, with six birdies in a row, adding to rounds of 68, 69 and 65.

In the three-man play-off, he was up against his fellow Callaway staff player Thomas Detry, who also qualified for The Open.

Min Woo’s equipment included a Callaway Epic Speed Driver, Epic Speed SZ Fairway Wood, Apex TCB Irons, Mack Daddy 5 JAWS Wedges, and an Odyssey White Hot OG Putter. He also used a Chrome Soft X Golf Ball.

“It was an awesome day, I was pretty proud of how I played. Six birdies in a row, that was sweet. It kind of happened really quick!” he said.

With a world-class field at Renaissance Club, East Lothian, Callaway products dominated the week, with the brand winning the Driver, Fairway Wood, Hybrid, Irons and Putter (Odyssey) usage counts. Over 35% of competitors (55 players) put a Callaway driver in play, 47 of which were Epic Speed models.

Epic Speed Drivers have already helped three players win Majors in 2021, including Phil Mickelson at the PGA Championship, and Jon Rahm at the US Open.

Usage of Callaway Apex TCB Irons also continues to grow on Tour, with 12 sets in play during the Scottish Open, the brand’s most used model.

Odyssey continues to be the most used putter brand on every major Tour worldwide, with 55% of players at the Scottish Open using one of its models, with 42% using an Odyssey putter with a Stroke Lab shaft. The 2-Ball Ten, White Hot OG #1, and Rossie models, were the most used.

Neil Howie, President and Managing Director of Callaway EMEA, commented: “Our products continue to dominate the European Tour, and also help players secure victory on some of the biggest stages in golf. Congratulations to Min Woo Lee, and to Thomas Detry, and we look forward to supporting them in the final Major of the season, this week.”
