America’s Nelly Korda used 14 Titleist clubs and the brand’s Pro V1 ball to claim her first major championship at Atlanta Athletic Club on Sunday (June 27).

Korda tied the tournament scoring record at 19-under par to cruise to a three-shot victory, helped in part by a second-round 63, which matched the lowest round ever shot at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

The win was her second in consecutive weeks, following a two-shot victory at the Meijer LPGA Classic. In that 144-hole stretch, Korda hit 120 Greens in Regulation, making 47 birdies and four eagles, to finish a combined 44-under par.

This is the 11th-consecutive win on the LPGA Tour for #1 ball in golf, with 14 of the last 15 events having been won by Titleist golf ball players.

Meanwhile, on the PGA Tour, Harris English, who was playing with a Pro V1, birdied the eighth playoff hole at the Travelers Championship to earn his second PGA Tour victory of the season and fourth career title.

The American put on a complete performance as he hit 75% (54/72) of Greens in Regulation, finished eighth in Strokes Gained: Around the Green (+2.863), tied-fourth in Scrambling (78%) and made 100% of his Sand Saves for the week.

At the event, Titleist was the field favourite in the Driver (32%), Fairway (30%), Hybrid (34%), Utility (40%), Iron (26%), and Wedge (52%) categories.

In Germany, Viktor Hovland, who was playing with the new Titleist Pro V1 ball, earned his first European Tour title with a two-shot victory at the BMW International Open. Shooting rounds of 64 and 70 over the weekend to finish at 19-under, he becomes the first Norwegian winner in European Tour history.

There were other notable wins worldwide for the #1 ball in golf as Steve Stricker (Pro V1x) won the Senior Players Championship, brand ambassador Conner Godsey trusted a full bag of Titleist clubs and the Pro V1x Left Dash to claim victory on the PGA Tour Latino America, and Samuel Saunders (Pro V1) won on the newly created Forme Tour.
