By using the internet search engine Everyclick.com, golf lovers can now raise money for the junior game at no cost while they are working or surfing on the World Wide Web.
It may sound too good to be true, but every time an internet search is made using this search engine (which is powered by Ask.com), Everyclick.com will donate around 1p to charity.
Everyclick is a philanthropic company with the objective of raising money for UK registered charities through its search engine, giving 50 per cent of its gross revenue to good causes. So far, nearly £400,000 has been raised for UK charities.
The Golf Foundation, a charity committed to the sporting and social development of young people through golf, is urging golf clubs, golf companies and all those involved with the sport to sign up through www.everyclick.com and select the Golf Foundation as the nominated charity. From that point on, surfing the internet through Everyclick.com will generate funds for grass roots junior golf.
Mike Round, Chief Executive of the Golf Foundation, said, “All our staff are now using this search engine. It costs us nothing and we’re raising money for junior golf through our normal daily activities. It’s just so easy. Cadbury Schweppes, Superdrug and Woolworths are among the companies already raising money for charity using this service.
“If we could get every golf club secretary, every golf manager, every PGA professional and every company involved in golf to search the internet using Everyclick.com, then we would generate a significant sum which we’d use to support school and community projects across England, Scotland and Wales.”
