Highland Spring, the UK’s No 1 brand of bottled water, has bolstered its links with golf by becoming an Official Supplier to The BMW PGA Championship, the flagship tournament of The European Tour. The new agreement enhances the brand’s already extensive support of grassroots and elite golf in the UK.
The European Tour began in 1972, celebrating its 40th anniversary last year. The Tour comprises no fewer than 45 competitions over five continents and attracts the world’s top golfing talents.
The BMW PGA Championship, which takes place this week at Wentworth Club in Surrey – its home since 1984 – is one of the most popular and prestigious events in the professional golfing calendar and occupies a prominent position as the Tour’s flagship event.
Highland Spring has also committed to support the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, a historic tournament that has been held at various clubs since it became part of The European Tour in 1972. The competition returns to Castle Stuart for the third consecutive year on 11 July 2013.
