Fashionable active eyewear brand goodr have been announced as the Official Sunglasses Supplier for The 2019 Solheim Cup, which takes place at Gleneagles this week.

goodr are proud to be launching ‘Golf goodr’ at The Solheim Cup. Well known for their fun and functional sunglasses, specifically designed for running and cycling, goodr have chosen The Solheim Cup to launch their golf range.

The American brand has been recognised in major publications, including Runner’s World magazine (Gear of the Year and Recommended Best Buy), GQ (Best Buy), Men’s Journal (Gear of the Year), Women’s Running (Gift Guide) and most recently Top Buyers award winner at the 2019 PGA Fashion Show.

goodr will be exhibiting their range in the Solheim Cup Spectator Village plus running their unique #beaflamingogolfer activation. The brand will benefit from the association with the largest sporting event taking place in Scotland this year and the resulting exposure on a global stage.

Carl the Flamingo, CEO of Goodr, said: “We are honoured to be bringing the party to the Solheim Cup! When you look good, you golf goodr, and pro athletes are no exception!”

Ross Hallett, Senior Vice President at IMG, the Staging Partner of The 2019 Solheim Cup, said: “We are thrilled to have goodr on board as an Official Supplier. It is a fun brand with a young consumer base, so it fits well with what we’re trying to achieve with The Solheim Cup.”

The Solheim Cup will be screened to more than 600 million homes worldwide with the match-play format aiming to engage both the traditional golf audience as well as wider sports fans, raising the profile of women’s golf both in Scotland and internationally.

The Scottish Government’s aspiration is that The 2019 Solheim Cup is the biggest ever European edition of the event and the most family-focused golf event in history with around 100,000 spectators expected at Gleneagles.
