Apparel brand Galvin Green has unveiled its line-up of tour player brand ambassadors for the 2022 season, which includes a broad range of elite golfers drawn from the global professional tours.
The Swedish brand’s ultra-lightweight and highly breathable clothing will be worn by five leading players on the PGA Tour for the forthcoming season, including two-time champion Troy Merritt, who will be sponsored by Galvin Green for the sixth consecutive year, while Lanto Griffin, who enjoyed two top-10 finishes in 2021, will also be wearing garments from the new range in 2022.
Glasgow-born Martin Laird, who won the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open for the second time in 2020, is also on board for the new season, along with former San Diego State college golfer JJ Spaun and Brett Drewitt, who secured his playing rights after a strong season on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Americans Theo Humphrey, George Cunningham and Corey Shaun will also be wearing the brand’s clothing on the Korn Ferry Tour, as they look to push their playing careers forward.
On the DP World Tour, England’s Jordan Smith and Spaniard Santiago Tarrio are the latest additions to the five-strong group of players that form Team Galvin Green playing in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East on a regular basis. Smith won his maiden Tour title in a playoff at the Porsche European Open in 2017, while Tarrio secured two wins on the European Challenge Tour in 2021.
Laurie Canter has re-signed with the brand after another promising season in search of his first Tour win, along with Sweden’s 2018 Volvo China Open winner Alexander Björk, who secured a runner-up finish at the DP World Tour Championship in November. Chris Paisley will also wear Galvin Green in 2022, while Lucas Vacarisas and Lorenzo Scaliselook to make the next step in their playing careers wearing the high-quality garments on the European Challenge Tour.
American Mina Harigae joins Team Galvin Green and leads the brand’s presence on the LPGA Tour after five top 10s in 2021. She is joined by Scottish golfer Gemma Dryburgh. On the LET and LET Access Tours, Amy Boulden, Hazel MacGarvie, Corinne Viden and Reme Cortes will all wear a host of striking outfits throughout the 2022 season.
“Galvin Green is proud to have assembled such an extensive list of global Tour players that will represent the brand in 2022,” said CEO Nicholai Stein. “We’re confident that the advanced technologies in our clothing will help make the difference for those seeking to perform at the very highest level, while also looking the part in front of huge audiences across the world.”
