Marriott Hotels has been confirmed as the new host of the British Masters. Marriott have completed an agreement with International Sports Management and The PGA European Tour to host the tournament for the next three years.

The group’s flagship golfing venue, the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club, just outside Birmingham, has been confirmed as the venue for the 2003 British Masters taking place 5th – 8th June. Set in magnificent Warwickshire countryside it features two 18-hole courses – the Aylesford Resort Course and the Championship Arden Course. For the past three years its championship Arden course has hosted the Compass Group English Open. The venue is ideally situated within easy reach of the M42 and M6, and only 4 miles from Birmingham International Airport.

David Maclaren, director of golf, Marriott Hotels commented, “This is a fantastic agreement and we are delighted to be hosting this prestigious event which will become a highlight in the UK’s golfing calendar. Marriott is synonymous with the provision of first class golf courses designed by some of the most experienced and creative golf course architects world-wide and maintained to the highest standards by teams of experienced Golf Course Managers. We continually invest in our golfing facilities and I am certain that the 7213 yard Arden Championship Course will once again prove to be an excellent test of golf for Europe’s top golfers.”
