PGA of Europe representatives were at Atalaya Park, Costa del Sol for the official launch of the Selected Hotels Festival of Golf, staged over a three-month period from November 2002 to January 2003
Among the highlights of the Festival is the PGAE Annual Congress entitled ‘Working Together’ which is Europe’s most important gathering of golf’s leading authorities.
Under the auspices of the PGAE the four-day Congress will include the R&A, the European Golf Association, representatives of the national federations or unions and PGA’s, the Ryder Cup Committee, the PGA European Tour and the Ladies European Tour.
The PGA of Europe actively supports Selected Hotels Festival of Golf by staging important events there such as the annual congress, the international team championship, the annual gala dinner and awards presentation and the Don Miguel fourball championship.
During the 12 week period the Festival’s comprehensive programme attracts large numbers of visitors to the region at a time of year which is less busy than usual. An important feature is the daily free golf coaching offered to everyone wishing to take up the game.
