Budding young golfers from across Europe will have an opportunity to play in the stunning region of Messinia when the Faldo Series Greece Championship returns to the Costa Navarino resort on July 12-13.
Aegean Airlines is offering discounted international flights and free domestic flights for Faldo Series competitors travelling to Costa Navarino, meaning talented golfers from overseas can also benefit from the top-class tournament experience in idyllic coastal surroundings.

Won last year by Turkey’s Elcin Ulu, the field for the 36-hole event will be divided into five age-groups – three for boys and two for girls – with the winner of each division qualifying for the 15th Faldo Series Europe Grand Final at Lough Erne Resort in Northern Ireland on September 12-14.
During the 2011 Greece Championship, there will also be a series of clinics headed by Sir Nick Faldo’s coach Keith Wood. These sessions will be designed to aid the competitors in their development and also to introduce the game to younger children from the local community and their parents.
Established in 1996, 35 Faldo Series tournaments now take place in 25 countries worldwide with over 5,000 golfers participating each year. Former winners include Rory McIlroy, Nick Dougherty, Marc Warren, John Parry, Melissa Reid, Florentyna Parker and Yani Tseng, all winners on Tour.
Supported by The R&A, the European Tour and Lough Erne Resort, the 2011 Faldo Series Europe schedule features a record 18 tournaments in 11 different countries including seven in England plus others in Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Czech Republic, Russia, Greece, The Netherlands, Brazil, Germany and Slovakia. It concludes with the Grand Final at Lough Erne, a World Amateur Golf Ranking event hosted by the six-time Major winner.
