England Golf has announced a revised schedule of tournaments and championships that will form the basis for the 2013 Titleist FootJoy Order of Merit whilst the Titleist Footjoy Boys and Seniors Orders of Merit remain unchanged.

The new events included in the men’s line up include the well established Hampshire Salver held at at Blackmoor and North Hants Golf Clubs as well as the inaugural North of England Open Amateur Championship, due to take place at Pannal Golf Club in October.

In 2012 Neil Raymond (Corhampton, Hampshire, IoW CI), narrowly took the title from fellow England Squad member Craig Hinton (The Oxfordshire, BB&O) and both will challenge again for the 2013 crown. They will be joined by Max Orrin (North Foreland, Kent), winner of the Titleist FootJoy Boys Order of Merit in 2012 and a host of other England internationals gearing up for the 2013 season.

Andrew Stracey (Denham, BB&O) was the runaway winner in the Seniors ranks last year and once again he will be challenged by international colleagues.

England Golf Performance Director, Nigel Edwards, commented, “The Titleist FootJoy Orders of Merit continue to provide a recognised schedule of major events at boys, men’s and seniors levels. The Hampshire Salver is a welcome addition early in the domestic schedule and the North of England Open Amateur promises to be a great way to conclude the season.”  Previous England Golf Order of Merit winners include a host of successful European Tour professionals including Tom Lewis, Ross McGowan, Gary Lockerbie, Chris Wood who was recent winner of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters and Gary Wolstenholme MBE, a multiple winner on the European Seniors Tour and England’s most capped player.
