Driving Ahead With Lookers Ambassador

Lookers, the leading automotive retailer with almost 160 outlets across the UK, has announced a partnership with Oliver Wilson, the Alfred Dunhill Links Champion and nine time runner-up with over 100 weeks in the world’s top 50. A Ryder Cup, Seve and Royal Trophy team member.

Oliver, who was ranked 33rd in the world, has enjoyed victory for Great Britain and Ireland at the Seve Trophy and six top ten finishes, including two in WGC events. Two more runner-up spots at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and the HSBC Champions saw him end the season ranked 7th on the European Tour. Six more top ten finishes followed over the next few seasons plus victory in the team and individual events at the 2011 Tavistock Cup.

Oliver Wilson said, “I recently attended a Lookers partner event with the Lookers marketing team and I really felt welcome as part of their family. Their suppliers, customers and people were incredibly professional, warm and friendly. It was a very easy and natural decision to join the Lookers family as a brand ambassador.”

Over recent years Lookers has supported a number of golf initiatives across the UK including the sponsorship of the EuroPro tour tournaments in 2016 and 2017. The sponsorship allowed Lookers to enter a number of promising golfers to participate in the event including Matt Mumford, who was leading after his first round on the Lee Westwood Colt course at Close House and who only narrowly missed out on playing at this year’s Open at Carnoustie.

The Wisley Golf Club, near London, recently hosted a Lookers Partner day. Oliver Wilson hosted the event at the spectacular 27 hole facility. The private club with outstanding facilities, beautifully prepared driving range and three loops of nine holes, is the home course to Oliver and a number of European Tour professionals and coaches. The invited guests enjoyed wonderful Wisley hospitality while Oliver and Sarah Stirk, Sky Golf presenter and Lookers Ambassador, gave an insight into life on the tour and what it is like on the inside of the Ryder camp.
