British Golf Industry day at Woburn

12.39am 14th February 2008 - Sponsorship & Events

Teams are selling well for the BGIA’s 2008 charity golf day which takes place on Woburn Golf & Country Club’s famous Duke’s Course on Tuesday, 15th April.

Last year’s winners, Golf Datatech Europe, are returning to defend their title but will face strong opposition from the likes of Powakaddy, Nike, Ping, TaylorMade-adidas and Srixon.

With fourteen teams already entered it is anticipated that funds raised for the nominated charity, the Golf Foundation, will exceed the £22,000 raised last year.

Attendees at the eve-of-tournament gala dinner will hear an after-dinner speech by Peter McEvoy, OBE, chairman of selectors for Great Britain & Ireland golf, and former Walker Cup captain and England golf captain.

The dinner, sponsored by EMAP’s Sport Division, is a great opportunity for the industry to get together with customers, friends and colleagues whilst also raising money for a good cause.

Any company interested in entering a team in the golf day, or wishing to attend the gala dinner should contact Jacqui Baldwin at the BGIA on 02476 417141.
