Bottlegreen, the premium range of cordials and sparkling pressés, has become the latest official drinks partner to support this year’s Northern Ireland Open Challenge, which will take place at the magnificent Galgorm Castle Golf Club, Ballymena from 29th August to 1st September.
With Bottlegreen on board as the official soft drinks partner, the players along with the 30,000 spectators expected to flock to the event will have the opportunity to try a selection of Bottlegreen’s refreshing sparkling pressés, including elderflower – the biggest selling Bottlegreen sparkling pressé sold in Northern Ireland; Cox’s Apple and Orange & Cranberry.
The new event marks the return of the European Challenge Tour to Ireland for the first time in 10 years, and not only creates the opportunity for young budding Irish professional golfers to play in the Irish event, but also enables them to receive invitations to play in other Challenge Tour events on the international schedule. In this inaugural event, the stars of the future will battle it out against the stars of today – including Michael Hoey, Kenneth Ferrie, Oliver Wilson and Nick Doherty – for a prize pot of €170,000.
Simon Speers, Managing Director of Bottlegreen Drinks, says: “This exciting new tournament provides us with the perfect backdrop to showcase a selection of flavours from our extensive Bottlegreen sparkling pressé range, and we are delighted to support this initiative which aims to open up more opportunities for young golfers throughout Ireland.”
Gary Henry, General Manager at Galgorm Castle Golf Club, who has been instrumental in creating and establishing the Northern Ireland Open Challenge, adds: “The participation of our sponsors, partners and suppliers make an enormous contribution to the success of establishing the event and we are please to welcome Bottlegreen as our official soft drinks partner at the NI Open Challenge.”
