American Golf backs National Golf Club Challenge

3.29pm 29th April 2019 - Sponsorship & Events

In the tenth and final year of the National Golf Club Challenge, American Golf is throwing its weight behind the annual fundraiser in aid of its chosen charity, On Course Foundation.

The National Golf Club Challenge has raised over £1.5 million in its ten-year campaign to support the continued recovery of wounded, injured and sick service personnel. In this final year it will be holding various fundraising events, and American Golf will be doing all it can to push the grand total as high as possible.

Upon the agreeing the support of American Golf, Stacey Jeffries, event director of the NGCC, commented: “I am delighted that American Golf have partnered with us to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. Despite the cessation of military operations in the Middle East, the injuries and illnesses of our wounded veterans have not gone away. On Course Foundation rebuild lives through golf, using the sport to get wounded, injured and sick Service personnel and veterans physically, mentally and socially active again and help some of them find new careers within the golf industry.”

He added: “NGCC and American Golf are passionate about supporting our wounded servicemen and women. The initiatives we have put in place this year will hopefully go on to raise a significant sum to support the outstanding work that does day in, day out to support the continued recovery of our wounded and sick Service personnel. “

American Golf will play a key role in fundraising efforts in 2019, supporting the NGCC in various initiatives such as donating prizes for their annual auction including two custom-fitted drivers that can be bid on here https://www.ngcc.co/auction/index.php, by hosting ticket sales for the NGCC Summer Draw at every one of its 106 stores, and by promoting the final year’s fundraising efforts of NGCC to  its audience of millions of golfers.

Conrad Edkins, Director of Marketing at American Golf, is looking forward to working with NGCC to bring their combined efforts together in support of On Course Foundation. He said: “On Course Foundation has been our chosen charity for several years, so to be able to bring our resources to help NGCC raise funds for them is an exciting prospect. We want all of our customers to be aware of the incredible work of OCF and with the incredible prizes that Stacey has pulled together for both the auction and the Summer prize draw everyone will want to be involved. Whether in-store, online or by email, we will be telling all of our customers about the amazing opportunities available with NGCC and hopefully raising a lot of money for a fantastic cause.”
