Adams Golf, maker of the #1 Hybrids on the PGA Tour, announces that 2006 BMW Championship winner David Howell has joined the company’s Tour staff and will make his debut this week at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.

Sporting the brand’s logo on his bag and headwear, the 37-year-old Englishman will also employ Adams’ industry-leading Velocity Slot Technology (VST) by using the SUPER 9031 hybrid.

“Throughout my time on the tour, particularly when I’ve played in the US, I’ve been aware of the number of players that have benefitted significantly from using Adams hybrids,” said Howell. “The company has great products and big plans for Europe; I’m delighted to be joining them at such an exciting time.”

“Our ethos is about making innovative, easy-to-hit products for golfers of all abilities and therefore making the game fun. David Howell is very popular among his fellow professionals and fans alike, so is the perfect fit for the Adams Brand,” said Simon Homer, Head of Adams Golf Europe. “We have goals to increase our usage on tour in Europe, as well as presence at retail, and we are delighted to welcome David on-board as the first European Tour Adams Tour staff professional as part of that process.”

Debuting at retail in the UK and Europe earlier this season, the SUPER family of Adams products included S and LS models in drivers, fairway woods and hybrids. All clubs feature, for the first time, a matte white crown with contrasting PVD face to inspire confidence and make the club easier to align. Accompanying the hybrids and metalwoods are SUPER S Irons, bringing to an iron set the award-winning technology used in hybrid development. A half-hollow construction features a thinner face to boost ball speed, enhanced shaping to produce better balance, and an undercut design for improved feel and performance.
