The Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters returns to Woburn Golf Club for the 13th consecutive year from August 30 – September 1, and you can now buy your ticket to see the stars of the European Senior Tour in action.
Last year’s tournament attracted record crowds of nearly 23,000 people to the Duke’s Course, as Irishman Des Smyth held off the challenge of 2011 Order of Merit winner Peter Fowler and 1999 Ryder Cup Captain Mark James to win the title for a second time in three years.

The Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters is one of the longest running tournaments on the Senior Tour, with Woburn Golf Club’s unbroken run of staging 12 consecutive events second only to Bad Ragaz Golf Club, host venue of the Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open, as the longest standing venue on the current Senior Tour schedule.
During this period, the tournament has developed into one of the most popular tournaments on the Senior Tour among both players and spectators, with the Duke’s Course renowned as a good viewing course for golf fans.
This year’s event is Travis Perkins’ sixth as title sponsor and is the tenth tournament in total that the company has supported on the Senior Tour, having previously sponsored the Wentworth Senior Masters from 2002-2005.

The prize fund for the Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters will be £300,000 with the 2013 champion receiving a first prize of £45,000, which will count towards the Senior Tour Order of Merit, plus an additional £10,000 bonus contributed by the Duke of Bedford, the owner of Woburn Golf Club.
Recent winners of the Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters include the Senior Tour’s most successful player Carl Mason, champion in 2006 and 2007, Zimbabwean Tony Johnstone (2009), former Ryder Cup player Gordon J Brand (2008) and Thailand’s Boonchu Ruangkit, whose 2011 triumph came in between Smyth’s two victories.
