Motocaddy has signed six-time DP World Tour winner Niclas Fasth as a brand ambassador to represent the company on a global stage.

The Swede, who turned 50 on April 29, will use the flagship Motocaddy M-TECH GPS electric trolley, PRO 3000 Laser Rangefinder and a selection of accessories while competing in this year’s Legends Tour events. He will also use Motocaddy products when practicing and playing in other tournaments. He begins his senior tour at this week’s in Austria.

During his career so far, he has 11 professional victories – the last coming at the BMW International Open in 2007 – plus he was a member of the 2002 winning Ryder Cup team at The Belfry. He also had three top-10 Major finishes, including a runner-up spot at the 2001 Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St Annes, a fourth place at the 2007 US Open at Oakmont.

“To have such a well-known European golfer such as Niclas join the Motocaddy team of ambassadors is fantastic for the brand and we look forward to seeing him use our products on the increasingly popular Legends Tour and across various other tournaments around the world,” said Motocaddy Marketing Director, Oliver Churcher.

“The opportunity came about thanks to our Scandinavian distributor, Mitoo Sports, and together we’ll be able create some exciting content with Niclas to use across our print and digital marketing, plus social media platforms,” he added.

Fasth is excited about using Motocaddy products and reaping the benefits. He said: “I’ve heard so much about the Motocaddy trolleys and I’m really looking forward to getting started with them on Tour on some tough courses in this year’s schedule. They’re truly a global brand and it’s great to be working alongside a partner that is so forward thinking in its approach but can also help my game as well. I’ve read so much about how using an electric trolley can help not just with the performance side of your game, but aide the health side too, so I can’t wait to get started.”
