Ladies European Tour tees up fitness equipment partnership

10.35am 6th June 2023 - Sponsorship & Events

The Ladies European Tour has announced a partnership with Swedish firm Eleiko that sees it became the official fitness equipment supplier for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

Eleiko, founded in Sweden in 1927, is a leading provider of high-quality weightlifting equipment with a main purpose of working to make people stronger for better performance in sports and life.

The family-owned company, which is headquartered in Halmstad in Sweden, and has offices in Norway, Finland, UK, USA, France, Germany and Russia, has a long-standing reputation for producing some of the world’s best weightlifting equipment, having been the equipment provider for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and the 2012 Olympic Games in London, as well as several World Powerlifting, Weightlifting and Para Powerlifting Championships.

Eleiko will be delivering a fitness equipment kit to the LET physiotherapy team at selected events throughout the 2023 and 2024 season, while they will also be giving a travel kit to the players who regularly tee it up on the LET.

It is vital that LET players can perform at their best level week in week out on Tour and the travel kit together with the right treatments from the physio services, as well as additional equipment from Eleiko, will ensure the players can continue to stay strong and fit and benefit them in having a longer career.

After the tournament has taken place, the Eleiko equipment used in the physio area during the event will be donated by the LET to projects in the local area. Thanks to the partnership between the Tour and Eleiko, the donating of the equipment will leave a legacy and give more people the opportunity to become stronger and understand the importance of health and fitness.

Erik Blomberg, CEO of Eleiko, said: “We are proud to go in as a partner to the LET and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to strengthening the players’ performance. Our vision is to make people stronger, both in their sport and in life. This partnership gives us the opportunity to show how strength plays an important role for professional golfers as well as golf enthusiasts.”

Fiona Harold, Commercial Director at the LET, said: “We’re delighted to announce this partnership with Eleiko for the next two years. We are committed to providing our players with the best possible service and resources. Through this partnership, we’re giving them greater opportunities to perform to the best of their abilities whilst also focusing on the benefits to their long-term health. We are excited to embark on this journey with Eleiko and raise our game together.”
