HLL Humberts Leisure has been appointed by Golf Inns Ltd to offer Belmont Lodge & Golf Course, Hereford to let on a circa 25 year lease. Annual rental offers are invited for the property, which achieved a turnover in excess of £1.1 million in the year to 31st December 2008.

Belmont Lodge & Golf Course was founded in 1983. The property comprises a 30 bed 3 star hotel; Bob Sandow designed 18 hole 6,369 yard (par 72) parkland golf course; practice facilities; golf shop; and period clubhouse (forming part of the Grade II* Listed Belmont House) located on the banks of the River Wye on the outskirts of Hereford (population 55,000). The business has been under control of Golf Inns Ltd since 1993 and is being offered to the market to enable the Directors to focus on their other business interests.

Belmont Lodge & Golf Course has developed a fine reputation since it was opened in 1983 by Sean Connery. The business mix is approximately 23% accommodation income; 49% food & beverage income; 23% golf income & 5% miscellaneous income. The business enjoys high levels of repeat business, with forward hotel bookings for 2009 51% up in January 2009 on the previous year.

The marketing of Belmont Lodge & Golf Course is being handled by Ben Allen and Charles Kaminaris.
