Eight time Ryder Cup player and World Golf Hall of Famer, Neil Coles has joined Team Benross. At the ripe old age of 73, Coles – a 31 time Tour winner – is an honorary member of the European Tour and still plays regularly on the European Seniors Tour.

“I’ve been impressed by how the Benross brand has developed and grown, so I’m delighted to be associated with a brand which now supports golfers from grass roots to tour standard”, said Coles.

“I really like the way the company has developed premium quality equipment using the same quality components as the game’s leading brands whilst maintaining fantastic value for money,” added the chairman of the European Tour’s board of directors.

Coles, at 67 the oldest winner of a Seniors Tour event, also runs a golf course architecture consultancy. In his illustrious career he once played in 56 consecutive tournaments without missing a cut.

Jon Everitt, CEO of Benross Golf, commented, “Neil Coles is a legend amongst his contemporaries. It’s great to have such a gentleman playing as an ambassador for Benross on the Seniors Tour.”

Neil Coles is using a Benross VeloCT driver, fairway wood and hybrid. Currently the ex-Ryder Cup golfer is using a prototype Benross forged iron and commented, “The forged prototype VX-51 irons which Benross have made for me are fantastic, I wish I had had a set of irons that felt this good and were as forgiving when I was a regular Tour player”.

The veteran is also testing two Benross Innovator wedges and the brand’s latest hi-tech putter design, the Innovator Stand-Up.
