Global Turf Equipment (GTE) – the world’s largest independent seller and exporter of pre-owned golf course equipment – announces long-time team member Josh Berman has been promoted to vice president of operations.

Berman’s new responsibilities will include inventory management and acquisition, domestic and international shipping, and international sales. An eight-year company veteran, Berman is a 2004 cum laude graduate of the University of Florida Honors Program.

“Josh has been integral to our company becoming the world’s largest independent seller and exporter of pre-owned golf equipment,” says Jim Sartain, president, Global Turf Equipment. “His in-depth knowledge of all aspects of our business, ranging from marketing to sales to inventory control, makes his elevation to vice president well-deserved and crucial to our future growth.”

Serving golf facilities in more than 80 countries worldwide and all 50 U.S. states, GTE offers substantial cost savings to golf course owners, operators, and superintendents with late model alternatives to brand-new machines.

GTE’s 30,000 square-foot USA headquarters stocks more than 650 pieces of equipment, including fairway mowers, greens mowers, top dressers, turf aerators, sprayers, utility vehicles and more.

Earlier this year, GTE established an overseas partnership with the U.K.’s CountyMowers as the first step in long-term plans to strengthen its European distribution network. A new facility in Denmark followed as the next phase in GTE’s European expansion.
