John Deere is expanding its range of walk-behind commercial mowers with the new PRO 47V. This robust, entry-level rotary mower is specifically designed for the needs of smaller landscaping businesses or as an additional machine for contractors, amenity managers and other turf professionals.

With a cutting width of 47cm (18½in), the PRO 47V is light and easy to operate, and highly manoeuvrable even in difficult areas or around landscape features and other obstacles. Its comparatively low weight and comfortable carry handles allow one person to transport the machine easily, which is particularly useful when frequently changing work locations. The folding handle and compact size of the mower also make it easy to transport, even in smaller vehicles.

Equipped with a powerful Subaru engine rated at a nominal 3.2kW and with variable-speed two-wheel drive, the mower is suitable for working in a range of different mowing conditions on grass areas up to 2500m². The rear collector capacity is 65 litres, and cutting height is adjustable from 25 to 80mm (1 to 3in).

In addition, the PRO 47V has a corrosion-resistant, steel-reinforced aluminium chassis including front protection. The proven TurboStar System delivers reliable mowing and collection performance, and other features include a professional standard transmission and tyres, and an optional mulching kit.

Operators can also work longer hours with this new mower without tiring, thanks to the standard AntiVibration System (AVS), which reduces the level of exposure to hand-arm vibration.
