QHotels, the UK’s largest golf resort operator, is inviting golfers to experience its new QFairway club – the country’s most flexible golf membership, which gives up to 50 rounds of golf for only £375 along with access to an impressive 15 golf courses.

The AA Hotel Group of the Year – which includes such prestigious venues as The Carrick at Cameron House, Slaley Hall and Forest Pines in its portfolio – believes QFairway ushers in a new era of membership designed by and for the 21st century golfer.

The new scheme will prove particularly attractive for those who are short of time, yet looking to rekindle their passion for the sport, and they can enjoy all the benefits of a traditional golf club membership.

And golfers old and new have been invited to ‘test drive’ the innovative membership for themselves by enjoying a round of golf in open days at five QHotels venues on 26 and 29 March.

The opportunity to experience the unique QFairway will take place at Aldwark Manor Golf & Spa Hotel, near York; Forest Pines Hotel & Golf Resort, north Lincolnshire; Hellidon Lakes Golf & Spa Hotel, Daventry, Northamptonshire; Telford Hotel & Golf Resort, Shropshire; and the Westerwood Hotel & Golf Resort, near Glasgow. Complimentary practice range balls, with a free ‘swing and grip check’, will be available before the round, with food and beverages in the bar afterwards.

Michael Purtill, managing director of QHotels, said: “Points-based flexible memberships are not new but we believe QFairway takes the concept to a new level. With 11 hotels and 15 excellent golf courses – and the ability to allocate points to elements other than just golf – this is the most widely beneficial membership available on the market.

John Angus, QHotels’ group director of golf, said: “QFairway effectively offers a bespoke membership for each individual. Whether you play once a week, once a month, or even require a corporate membership, there will be a points level to suit you. If you start playing more, topping up the points is quick and easy to do – and it comes with all the features members enjoy elsewhere but without the often extortionate fees levied by their clubs.”

The QFairway flexible points-based membership gives golfers all the benefits of a full club membership – including the facility to hold a handicap and playing rights for club competitions – while offering discount on food and drink, shop purchases, tuition, hotel bed-and-breakfast rates, and, most impressively, access to all of QHotels’ 15 golf courses.

Points may be used for golf, leisure club and spa facilities (where applicable), the driving range and even on buggy hire – all whenever and wherever the member requires. What’s more, unlike traditional golf club memberships, there is no joining fee, meaning that for a relatively small outlay keen nomadic golfers can now achieve their dream of belonging to a club, with all the friendly social benefits that entails.

There is an even better value option at selected hotels, where for just £295 players can enjoy golf at their chosen home club only.

The multi-award-winning, four-star QHotels collection offers championship-standard courses in unique resort locations – and now it also provides the perfect membership package for all golfers.
