New Education Slots for BTME

Education Seminar at BTME
Education Seminar at BTME

With BTME now just a week away, the already essential Continue to Learn education programme has been boosted by two further seminars hosted by two prominent figures in the turf research industry.

The first seminar is ‘Granular Fertilizer – It’s About Uniformity Not Just Size’ and will be presented Andrew McMahon, Fertilizer Product Manager at Rigby Taylor at 9.15am on Wednesday 23 January.

The application of granular turf fertilizer is common practice but granule size and uniformity is vital to ensure consistent and reliable nutrient release. No matter how high the quality of the actual ingredients or the accuracy of the spreading equipment, it is the quality and uniformity of the granule itself that determines the end result. This seminar will demonstrate how Rigby Taylor has developed advanced micro-granulation techniques that provide such benefits.

The second new seminar explores ‘New Research on Primo Maxx for Turf Health, Management and Playability’. This begins at 1.45pm on Wednesday 23 January, and will be presented by Simon Watson, EAME Technical Manager at Syngenta.

Recent studies and research have provided new insights into how Primo Maxx can be used to effectively manage turf health. The impact of these benefits on playability in golf has been evaluated along with the economic and resource implications. These findings will be discussed in light of research of players’ needs and efficient course management.

Attendance at one or both of these seminars means attendees will be awarded Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points.
