Golf coaches will be able to swap ideas and learn new ways of growing the game during a National Breakfast Club Conference later this month.

The conference is scheduled for Thursday, 22 March at the National Motorcycle Museum near the NEC  in the West Midlands.

Hosted by PGA captain-elect Neil Selwyn-Smith, the day includes a number of high profile speakers and will centre on topics relevant to PGA members engaged in regular coaching.

Among the speakers are Dave Alred, former Women’s US Open champion Alison Nicholas, Kirsty Taylor, Sophia Jowett, Andrew Caldwell and David Fulcher.

“The theme is just a continuation of the work of County Golf Partnership Breakfast Clubs,” said Jonathan Wright, PGA coach education manager forEngland. “It is aimed at making our coaches better at helping people try golf, stay in golf and be the best they can be.

“CGPs already run local education through their own Coaching Breakfast Clubs regularly and this national event gives us the opportunity to bring all interested coaches together for a really exciting day of education.”
