An outstanding speaker lineup has been revealed for the 2013 Coaches Circle, taking place from 18-20 March 2013 at Chervò Golf Hotel Spa & Resort San Vigilio, Italy, making for a varied and captivating schedule that is not to be missed.

PGAs of Europe_CC Schedule_01_SMThe second Coaches Circle is designed to educate, engage and inspire coaches from across the globe on the latest issues and discussion points that exist within the world of coaching, and has limited spaces available fornational coaches, coaches of elite players (on a level 1,2 or 3 tour), and coaches involved in national junior programmes.

The three days of sessions will host varied topics and discussions from some of the most advanced and knowledgeable people in their fields including Matteo Manassero’s coach, Alberto Binaghi; National Team Coach for Switzerland, Timo Karvinen; and biomechanics expert Prof. Eric Wallace.

It won’t just be classroom-based either – Day 1 features a trip to the University of Verona where President of the Sport and Science Department, Federico Schena, will speak on a learning strategy to improve motor skills, and Chiara Milanese will lead a practical session in the University’s Biomechanics Lab.

Director of Education & Membership for The PGAs of Europe, Tony Bennett said, “The Coaches Circle has already become a not to be missed event.  We have had many positive comments on how the 2012 Coaches Circle helped shape the preparation of National Team players in various countries.” Tony went on to say that “this years line up has been hand picked to stimulate discussion and learning”.

The Coaches Circle will also run prior to the 2013 Heads of Training Summit from the 21-22 March, focusing on the latest information relating to the training of PGA Golf professionals and is tailored to Heads of Training or nominated individuals working within a PGA Training Programme on the delivery of such programmes.

Both events will be set in the beautiful surroundings of the Chervò Golf Hotel Spa & Resort San Vigilio in Pozzolengo, in the splendid setting of Lake Garda, which is immersed in the green morainic hills.

Further details of the Heads of Training Summit speaker lineup and sessions will be released soon.

Feedback from the 2012 Coaches Circle:

Mike O’Brien – Director of Education, PGA of Poland: “It was very good, very insightful, there were good topics and good information, and not only that we had an opportunity to network and sit down and talk in-between and after the conferences…

“When you’re away with the national team you don’t often have time to sit down with other coaches and talk so this was really good to talk about things that happen in different countries and different approaches.”

David Moura – Assistant National Coach, Portuguese Golf Federation: “It’s a good way to communicate with other professionals…It’s more closed, it’s not like other teaching conferences…in the Coaches Circle people are more together, and you can get more feedback.”

Glenn Cundari – Lead Learning Facilitator, PGA of Canada: “I think it’s been fantastic, it’s a great opportunity for national coaches and a number of other stakeholders from federations and PGAs to meet in a really intimate atmosphere and share experiences and challenges.”
