Consumer benefits from Titleist fitting

The latest driver offerings from Titleist, the 913D2 and 913D3, have been played to winning effect by Titleist Brand Ambassador’s across worldwide professional tours since they were first introduced in July. In advance of the official launch of the new 913 drivers at the start of November, Titleist’s four National Fitting Centres are now offering golfers across the UK and Ireland the opportunity to be precision fit for the products and experience more speed, more distance and more performance.

Located at St. Ives (Hunts) Golf Club in Cambridgeshire, Kings Acre Golf Club in Midlothian, The Celtic Manor Resort in South Wales and the G.U.I. National Academy at Carton House in County Kildare, the Titleist National Fitting Centres offer the ultimate Titleist club fitting experience.

Utilising state of the art club fitting tools, Titleist Fitting Technicians will guide the player through a precise and comprehensive fitting process which fine tunes the 913 driver to their game. 913 represents the most technologically advanced drivers that Titleist has ever produced and this custom fitting experience will ensure that performance is maximised for each individual player.

The 913 family of drivers feature the innovative SureFit Tour hosel, first seen on the 910 model, as well as a new face insert which produces faster ball speeds across the clubface and makes the 913 the most forgiving drivers Titleist has ever made. The 913 drivers have been designed to offer total performance with both the 460cc 913D2 and 445cc 913D3 producing the same launch and spin characteristics, which, coupled with an extensive matrix of shaft options, maximises fitting flexibility. The 913D2 offers a slight draw bias over the 913D3 which plays with a more neutral set-up for those that prefer workability and, whilst the 913D2 is the more forgiving of the two club-heads, both 913 models offer excellent levels of forgiveness and provide a superior blend of performance that will benefit all serious golfers.

Since being seeded across the worldwide professional tours earlier in the year, 913 drivers have been played to winning effect by a number of players. Titleist Brand Ambassador Bernd Weisberger recorded the first victory on the European Tour for the 913 driver, winning the Lyoness Open. Since then, Nick Watney and Rory McIlroy have trusted the 913 driver to win The Barclays, the Deutsche Bank Championship and BMW Championship during the FedEx Cup Playoffs. McIlroy also claimed his second career Major at the USPGA, where he utilised the performance of the 913 driver to lead in driving distance at Kiawah Island with an impressive 311.5 yards. Players such as Steve Stricker, Rafael Cabrera-Bello, Bill Haas, Michael Hoey, George Coetzee and Matteo Manassero are among others to have also put the 913 drivers in play.

Fitting sessions at the Titleist National Fitting Centres are open to all golfers and are available on an appointment only basis. Appointments are available Monday to Friday (Monday and Thursday only at Celtic Manor Resort) and bookings should be made via a local PGA Professional or Titleist stockist.
