Swan Golf Designs made GTC Training Provider

8.37am 12th January 2012 - Corporate

The Greenkeepers Training Committee (GTC) is pleased to announce Swan Golf Designs as a Quality Assured Training Provider.

David Golding, GTC’s Education Director says: “The GTC is keen to promote those Training Providers who offer workshops, seminars and training courses which assist both greenkeepers and golf club employers to improve their courses and communication systems.

Swan Golf Designs, primarily through its Principal Architect Howard Swan, has for many years shared experience and knowledge through seminars, workshops and case studies on golf course design best principles and for renovation work.

William Swan says “SGD is delighted to become a GTC Accredited Quality Assured Training Provider, which recognises our efforts to promote best practice within golf course design. We firmly believe that golf course architects have a responsibility to highlight how golf can embrace its environment to improve both the enjoyment and viability of the game”.

Course Managers, Chairmen of Green, Secretary Managers often have to consider decisions to change the golf course they are responsible for or approve renovation projects which can be very political and often controversial within a golf club.

It is important therefore that all aspects of changes are considered and through a series of workshops being planned the GTC and Swan Golf Designs will be able to assist you and your club. Dates and venues will be available soon.
