Super Demo Day hailed a success

7.33am 8th September 2009 - Corporate

The Stadium Driving Range at Huddersfield saw an impressive turnout over the weekend as it hosted another of its ever popular Super Demo Days. The extravaganza, which saw the likes of Callaway, TaylorMade, Adams Golf and Nike fully booked out, brought in an influx of golfers who travelled from as far a field as Ireland to make the most of the special offers.

It was the first time the Stadium Driving Range had hosted an event where members of the public had access not only to irons and woods, but also specialist areas in chipping and putting.

The newly installed Hotblade putting green proved popular, with a constant flow of customers getting professionally custom fitted for a choice of top branded putters including Odyssey, Hotblade, Rife, Yes! And Heavy Putters.

The new chipping area also proved very tempting as golfers practised on the new grass and high quality astroturf tees and full size bunker.

Adams Golf’s Tour Van was on site with full custom fitting facilities for those looking to get kitted out with some of the most popular clubs currently on the USPGA, PGA and Nationwide tours. Adams Staff player Tom Watson’s recent success at Turnberry has sparked a huge interest in the brand.

Promotions running on the day included 10% off putters and wedges, Mizuno MX25 irons for only £299, John Letters Bags for £29.99 (less than half price) and various Nike promotions. Flightscope ball radar tracker gave golfers an introduction into club fitting and PGA Professional Dan Skeltcher gave free tuition all day at the John Letters Academy for all age groups and levels.

Store Manager Simon Corp was thrilled with the turnout, “We had three guys from Ireland book spaces on the day, two of them purchased fully custom fitted sets that will greatly help improve their games. It was great to see customers travelling from Manchester and Doncaster to enjoy the day and get some fantastic deals”.
