Sunderland rainsuitThe awards keep coming for Sunderland of Scotland’s outstanding Dolphin rainwear suit, after it was named waterproof of the year in the UK by the influential  members of the Foremost Golf group for the sixth year in succession.

The suit, known in the industry as a Special Make Up (SMU) product, is designed and manufactured by Sunderland exclusively for Foremost, who have almost 1,000 members operating in the UK.

During the Foremost Golf dinner at the three-day Golf Show in Harrogate attended by thousands of PGA professionals, Dolphin was named Waterproof Model of the Year in an ultra-competitive category.

Mikhel Ruia, the Managing Director Designate of Glenmuir and Sunderland, said: “Our team puts a lot of time and effort into ensuring that the Dolphin suit delivers the maximum performance and profitability for green grass golf outlets, so we’re delighted that Foremost’s members continue to hold it in such high regard.

“To win this award six years running against an ever-increasing number of competitors is an incredible achievement for the product and the team behind it and we thank Foremost Golf and its members for their continued support.”

The Dolphin benefits from ‘wishbone’ technology and a full three-year manufacturer’s guarantee, making it one of the best-performing and best-value waterproof suits available.

Andy Martin, Foremost Golf company director, said: “Sunderland’s Dolphin Collection is an effervescent and popular winner with our membership.

“The product is not only of the highest quality but is exclusive to our members, allowing them to achieve exceptionally high margin return on sales. Sunderland also supports our members with EMP and store signage, which helps to increase consumer awareness and drive product sales.”
