SGM Contracts LLP, a leading supplier of groundcare machinery, has relocated its Service Centre in Fife, Scotland to larger premises, which provide a greater workshop capacity for the company’s machinery servicing function.
SGM’s service facility, which was previously sited within the company’s headquarters, SGM House, in Belleknowes Industrial Estate, is now situated in Unit 16 on the same estate in Inverkeithing, Fife. This prominent location is only half a mile from the Forth Road Bridge and is ideally suited for access from Edinburgh to the South, Dundee and Perth to the North and Glasgow to the West.
Steven McInroy, Managing Director for SGM, commented: “With the growth of the company’s servicing function pressing us to seek larger premises we were keen to maintain our position in Belleknowes. The relocation of our Service Centre to Unit 16 will enable us to continue to grow and expand whilst retaining a prominent location to headquarter our business.”
The new 6,000 sq. ft. Service Centre was fully refurbished prior to SGM’s entry and it includes both offices to house SGM’s service support staff and a large workshop space, which is equipped with a new welding facility, cylinder grinders and professional vehicle ramps. It is staffed by SGM’s factory trained engineers.
SGM has further service centres located in Stockport, Rotherham and at the Gleneagles Hotel and Resort in Perthshire. And with added support from mobile engineers, SGM is able to offer machinery servicing and repairs to local authorities, contractors, golf courses and sports facilities across the UK. In addition to its service function, SGM is the UK’s largest hirer of groundcare equipment and a leading trade outlet for new and used machinery. The company also supplies spare parts and an increasing range of garden machinery and arboriculture equipment. SGM’s products can be browsed online or viewed at its showroom which is also located within Belleknowes Industrial Estate.
