PGA renews its Licensing Agreement with Sigma Golf

8.30am 8th November 2011 - Corporate

Richard Jewell, Sandy Jones and Peter Darnell

Sigma Golf, owned by PGA Professionals Richard Jewell and Peter Darnell, were delighted to renew their PGA Collection licensing agreement at the recent Golf Show in Harrogate.

Richard said after the event “We are very pleased to have the continued backing of the PGA to provide members with a range of exclusive entry level products that not only represent good value for their customers, but also affords them workable margins to help run their businesses”.

“With the recent addition of their comprehensive Junior PGA Collection to complement the current EZ3 range, we have seen a substantial increase in overall sales this year by almost 40%”.

“There is no doubt that a small percentage of the major brands are taking an increasing larger slice of the golfing market, however, at the value entry level end we feel that the PGA Collection has found its niche market”.

“With both Peter and myself being involved in retailing for over 30 years, we have always found it quite difficult to sell hardware that doesn’t have a recognised brand name even if represented good value for our customers.  The PGA Collection is a world wide known brand and we know from experience this makes the PGA Collection a much easier sell than other non-major brands”.
