Lynx Golf raised £2,000 for The Mirela Fund charity at a celebrity-packed launch party for its new Boom Boom 2 drivers, fairway woods and rescue clubs.

Stars from TV and sport flocked to Kanaloa in London’s Shoe Lane to celebrate the unveiling of the Lynx range of Hot 1 Technology-fuelled clubs – including presenters Melanie Sykes, Natalie Pinkham, Di Dougherty and Sarah-Jane Mee and former England rugby legends Austin Healey and Ben Kay.

A charity raffle held on the night also raised £2,000  for The Mirela Fund, a special project to build a home and a safer life for an orphan and 11 other children in the South West of Romania, the brain-child of F1 presenter Natalie.

The party featured a VIP ‘green grass carpet’, a specially-designed sofa in the shape of a Boom Boom 2 driver head, a madcap golf hole designed for Lynx by ‘Go Crazy Golf’ and a host of other  innovative golf-themed ideas.

Said Stephanie Zinser, managing partner of Lynx Golf, who hosted the party with husband and CEO Steve Elford: “First and foremost we wanted to launch the Boom Boom 2 collection with a bang and give our friends, family and colleagues in the golf industry a great night – and we definitely achieved that.

“We were completely taken aback by the attendance and the number of people within golf who are genuinely rooting for Lynx to do well.  There’s tremendous affinity for the brand.

“And we are absolutely delighted to have raised money for The Mirela Fund. Steve and I have seven children, and the welfare of babies born into tragic circumstances and without parents is something we want to improve whenever possible.”

Other golf brands Glenmuir, GolfBuddy and 5-hour Energy supported the night with raffle prizes and VIP goodie bag gifts.

Lynx Golf continues to establish itself as the most forward-thinking and exciting equipment brand in Europe and is dedicated to supporting ‘green grass’ Pro shop business, now with more than 400 accounts in the UK.

Hot 1 Technology – in which golf club heads are filled with a blend of gases to optimise performance – has been introduced across an entirely new portfolio of Boom Boom 2 products.
